Toronto needs a leader who knows how to tackle congestion, get unnecessary taxes out of your way and is committed to building vibrant communities.

I'm proud to have served on Toronto's city council since 2003, fighting for transit and protecting taxpayers. As Councillor and TTC chair, I delivered real results for the people of Toronto.

Now, I'm running to be the next Mayor of Toronto.

To succeed, Toronto needs a leader with a plan and a track record of success. I understand how city council works, and I know how to build bridges between other levels of government. My plans are affordable, feasible and fully funded.

Karen Stintz: Statement on Federal/Provincial Affordable Housing Funding Announcement

TORONTO (August 13, 2014) — In response to the recent affordable funding announcement made by the federal and provincial governments, mayoral candidate Karen Stintz has released the following statement: "During my time at City Hall I've worked with Councilor Bailão and others on the Close the Housing Gap campaign to persuade other levels of government to help fund badly needed repairs to existing affordable housing units. While I welcome new federal and provincial funding for construction of affordable units, the City needs more funding for repairs of the existing housing stock. The current situation is a disgrace."
